At St. Francis Hospital for Animals, we maintain separate boarding areas for dogs and cats ensuring that each animal will have a pleasant, stress-free stay. Our indoor climate-controlled facility is always kept clean and comfortable for our boarders. Our capable and kindly veterinary assistants will provide your pet with individualized, personal attention including lots of hugs and pats during the week as well as on weekends and holidays. Each dog has supervised outdoor time every day in our fenced-in yard so that they can play and take care of business. Our feline friends are kept in a separate, stress-free environment where they are away from the barking of our canine friends.
We feed all kennel guests Hill’s Science Diet or Royal Canin premium food; however, if your pet is on a specialty diet, has unique dietary needs, or if you want to avoid tummy upset caused by changing their diet, we ask that you bring in a small supply of your pet’s food from home. Our staff monitors the appetite and urination/bowel movements of each pet guest, and our veterinarians will be alerted if any problems are noted. We want your pets to be healthy and happy while they are in our care.
All animals staying at St. Francis Hospital for Animals must be current on all vaccines. This is for the protection of your pets and for the protection of our hospitalized patients. If you choose to have extra services done, such as bathing or grooming, while your pet is in our care, please let us know at the time you schedule your appointment.
